I love these old photos of what I assume are high school marching bands at a Band Festival around 1938, the year my Mother graduated from high school. I found this group of photos in my Grandfather's Photo Album, that my Mother had put together for him around 1942. Photos in the album range in time frames from early 30's to 1942. There is no other information about these photos, so they are a bit of a mystery for me to solve as I sort through other material. I don't recognize the area, but I do know that Mother attended high school music festivals in the state, where there were competitions for bands and singing groups. She was in several singing groups and always loved to sing.
I am also aware that these photos may have been mailed to my Grandfather from other relatives or friends. I just wish there would have been something written to tell me where the photos were taken, which is a lesson to me for my own photos and curious future generations.

I love this layout! As you say, figuring out the where and who has made for some interesting guessing, but I love how you've brought it all together!
