I am making this double page layout especially for my granddaughter whose name is Lisa. I am concentrating on her ancestors that share a variation of her name.
The journaling reads:
That little girl in her father’s arms
is your Grammie! That was nearly
seventy years ago!
My dad is your great-grandfather.
His father is your great-great-
grandfather. The old lady, who
is seated is Lisette, your great-great-
great grandmother! She died soon
after this picture was taken. She
spoke almost no English, but was
loving and kind to her family.
My grandfather Otto, loved music
and played in a band. He used
to sit on the backporch and
play a harmonica for me.
He died when I was
only ten years old.
I missed him a lot!

Love the idea of using the wallet with the photo, key and other great items. Story is wonderful. What a special scrapbook you are making for your granddaughter. A real treasure.

Oh, how wonderful! Isn't that funny - I saw your other page and wondered if your grandparents were migrants, and here it is that your grandmother didn't speak much English. So interesting learning more about your family! I bet your granddaughter will LOVE this piece of her family story.

Love the layout. The wallet is such a good element to use in a vintage setting. Could you tell me where it came from? Thanks
