This photo was taken from a book so I had to remove some noise and sharpen it. I did a part of the photo in sepia tones.
text:Tom was a widower and Grace a widow, when they met. Tom was raising two teen age children and Grace a little boy. They combined their families,
when they married in 1916. Tom worked for the Baptist Sunday School Board in Nashville. Each day Grace took him to the train station by horse
and buggy. They added four girls to their family, my mother Grace being the oldest. The youngest child, Nollie Claire lived less than one year.
They were very active in a community club helping to bring the first high school to the area. Grace taught in the same school district for over
35 years.
Tom died several years before I was born so I never knew him. He built a little kitchen set for his girls. I remember playing wtih that
as a little girl. My grandmother was devoted to her grandchildren. I was the first and loved having her read to me and tell me stories whenever
I wanted. I loved to sleep in her bed with her. She made each of us feel as if we were the most important person in her life! I still miss her so.

You used some very interesting techniques, here. Especially eye-catching is the sepia photo with the B&W border and disressed edge for the frame. Your journaling is straight from the heart and a story that needs to be preserved...just SUPER, Freda!

Freda, this is absolutely a treasure. I love the photograph, and how you did the border around it. I like the flowers, which add a touch of color.
