I'm sort of cheating by combining two challenges - the New Stock Photo Challenge 11 at Digital Art Quirks and the first 2008 Chatique challenge here.
Journaling reads:
Melville met Elizabeth (Betty) at her sister's boarding house in Kalangadoo, South Australia. They married in the late 1920s, and celebrated their golden wedding anniversary a year before Betty died. They are survived by their two children, eight grandchilden, twenty-seven great grandchildren, and almost a dozen great-great grandchildren.

Wow. This is awesome. Love using the scrapbook as the base of your page. The string of pearls and other embelishments are just perfect with this older photo and history.

Absolutely gorgeous, Edeena. One of my faves. I love the book that you found and added to the layout. This is so creative! Love how you used Juliana's house and the splashes of pink.

THis is such an inspirational piece! Everything just draws you in to the layout. There is a feeling of peeking into your private album. The little touches are what make this layout just stand out.
