POEM READS:
Once Upon a Time...

I close my eyes and walk in the woodland forest
of my dreams.
The full moon casts dappled light
upon mother nature's floor.
Shadows dance amid the filtered moonbeams,
Enhancing the magic of the midsummer night
and whatever delights it may have in store...

The woods have always been my best
muse it seems -
A sanctuary, a place to reflect, to write,
to seek and explore -
Right here and now, in this ethereal gleam
I breathe, I sense - Imagination takes flight
As I ponder life's mysteries and lore...

A myriad of tiny wings
Weave a song of soft, wordless cadence
A tapestry of notes sewn eloquently
Their music strums across my heartstrings

And with each unwritten lyric brings
A richer timbre, a pulsing essence
Sweet harmony to my soliloquy
My soul sings - My soul sings

Ohhhhh, a mandala! Such creativity, Idgie. I love mandalas to express my inner self. Can't wait to see more of these.

What can I say - wow! You are off to an awsome start. What a beautiful page. Your words set the mood and every element you've used plays a perfect supporting role.

This is gorgeous! The large round circle immediately drew me to the text. The lavender color and subtle use of plants give it a very dreamy quality. Love it!

What a great poem, Laurie! I think the page looks terrific. I'll bet it even looks better printed!
